Was rummaging through my collection and found a box of my childhood books.
Reading; a habit that I picked up from my mom. As a kid I would be so engrossed in my story books, that I would not be aware of my surroundings.
My mom was against corporal punishment and could not tolerate anyone raising a hand against us. Her way of getting household chores done from me was buying a story book and informing me if I complete my tasks for the week the book is my reward. With due diligence I will ensure I complete my work so that I can get my reward.
Miss those days when pleasing kids was an easy task.
